Defending Against an Invisible Enemy
The potential threat of an EMP event is well known. The damage that can be done to computer systems and power generation equipment can have catastrophic ripple effects throughout all levels of our infrastructure. Whether an EMP comes from HEMP, IEMI or a geomagnetic event, it pays to be prepared, and with systems as critical as these, nothing should be left to chance.
The critical nature of EMP protection is foremost in our minds at Armag, and is evident in the EMP protection measures we engineered for our Shielded Generator Shelters. Building on the experience of our battle tested modular buildings, our shielded generator shelters are not only built in accordance with US Mil STD 188-125-1 and 2, but are also transportable, rugged and designed to last for decades.
But we didn’t stop there.
In 2014 an Armag shielded generator shelter underwent rigorous EMP testing at a certified U.S. Military testing facility and the results were outstanding. It was found to provide an additional 66 dB of protection, exceeding the required amount to be considered EMP shielded. This level of performance is superior to shelters built from retrofitted shipping containers.
EMP is an invisible enemy, not to be taken lightly. At Armag, we endeavor to provide our clients with the very best protection through products that are proven, reliable and meet or exceed all required specifications.
