Armag Day Boxes are Type 3 explosives storage magazines designed for the transfer and temporary supervised storage of explosives and detonators. These magazines are designed to be light enough for daily transport from your overnight storage area to the job site while keeping the contents safe and secure.

Armag’s decades of experience goes into every product we make. That’s why we can confidently guarantee our day boxes are fully ATF compliant. In most cases, our day boxes even exceed ATF specifications. Construction variances are required for some models and can be obtained from your local ATF office. Steel Day Boxes & Aluminum Day Boxes
Armag’s Type 3 steel and aluminum day boxes meet all ATF specs for fire, weather and theft resistance. The non-sparking interior and large grip welded handles help ensure a safe trip between the magazine and the job site. Aluminum day boxes are nearly one-third the weight of a steel day box, allowing for easier handling.
Armag’s Steel Day Boxes and Aluminum Day Boxes are guaranteed to meet or exceed ATF specifications.

Both the steel and aluminum day boxes are available in three standard sizes. The measurements shown below are Length x Width x Height.

IME / DOT Boxes
Department of Transportation law states that when explosives and detonators are carried on public highways in the same vehicle, at least one of the units must be manufactured to the IME spec. Armag IME/DOT Boxes are compliant with SLP-22. A laminate of steel and sheet rock makes these Type 3 boxes more fire resistant than Type 3 day boxes. The non-sparking interior and large grip welded handles help ensure a safe trip between the magazine and the job site.

Combo Truck Boxes
Transporting explosives and detonators is made easy with the Armag Combination Truck Box. This two compartment box is DOT approved for hauling detonators and explosives on the same vehicle on public highways. Armag Combo Truck Boxes are compliant with SLP-22. The IME compartment is separated from the day box compartment with the required laminate of steel, sheet rock and plywood. The combo truck box comes in two sizes, is designed to fit in a full-sized pickup bed or in the smaller S-10 pickup and is equipped with bed mounting brackets.
Armag’s Combination Truck Boxes are guaranteed to meet all DOT, IME, and ATF specifications.
